The law versus reality. Do we still have a problem with petroleum-derived substances in rainwater?
A graduate of Gdańsk University of Technology, he holds a PhD in environmental engineering and is a civil engineer. As Technical Director at the municipal company Gdańskie Wody, he deals with issues relating to water management, including emergency response measures during extreme weather events. Since 2018, he and his team have been implementing a rainwater management system based on a three-stage model that utilises greenery for water retention.
He is also involved in organising the regular ‘Green Retention’ conference.
Author or co-author of over 50 academic and educational publications in the fields of hydraulics, hydrology, hydrogeology and water management, as well as expert reports. Lecturer on master’s and postgraduate programmes at Gdańsk University of Technology, specialising in the legal aspects of water management. Editor-in-chief of the monthly journal *Gospodarka Wodna*.
