The Kamieniec Ząbkowicki Reservoir
The presentation will focus on the planned construction of the Kamieniec Ząbkowicki multi-purpose reservoir. It will outline its role in the water management of the Nysa Kłodzka and in the flood protection system of the Odra river basin, as well as the benefits of the project, its impact, technical specifications, timetable and current stage of design.
Since February 2024, he has served as Deputy Director of the Regional Water Management Authority in Wrocław, responsible for flood and drought protection. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering. He graduated in Environmental Engineering, specialising in Land Reclamation and Environmental Protection, from the Agricultural University of Wrocław. He also completed a postgraduate course at the Faculty of Computer Science and Management at Wrocław University of Technology in International Investment Organisation Procedures according to FIDIC. He also holds a building licence in the field of structural and civil engineering. He gained professional experience whilst running his own business and working on the construction of hydrotechnical, industrial and general building projects.
He had previously been associated with the Regional Water Management Authority in Wrocław, between 2003 and 2018, including as Head of the Investment Preparation and Implementation Department, Head of the Flood Protection Project Implementation Unit in the Odra River Basin (JRP OPDO) and Head of the Flood Protection Project Implementation Unit in the Odra and Vistula River Basins (JRP OPDOW).
In the past, he also worked at the Regional Board of Land Reclamation and Water Facilities in Wrocław, as well as at Wrocław City Council in the Urban Engineering Division of the Urban Infrastructure Department, and as deputy director of the Water and Energy Division within the Sustainable Development Department. Between 2022 and 2024, he worked as a coordinator and project manager in the Investment Division of the Wrocław Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company.
