President of Wody Polskie, an experienced manager specializing in water resources management, crisis management, and leading large public-sector organizations.
He has been involved in government administration and water management for over two decades. From 2013 to 2017, he headed the Department of Water Resources at the Ministry of the Environment, where he was responsible for strategic planning and oversight of national water policy. Previously, from 2008 to 2013, as head of the flood safety division at the Mazovia Provincial Office, he coordinated the activities of emergency services and decision-making processes during crisis situations.
In 2018, he served as deputy president of Wody Polskie, and subsequently as deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Infrastructure, where he developed projects related to European integration and inter-institutional cooperation. From 2018 to 2024, he was director of the Department of Innovation at the National Center for Agricultural Support, where he was responsible for implementing modern solutions in the agricultural sector. From 2024 to 2025, he once again served as deputy president of Wody Polskie, responsible for flood and drought protection.
He is a graduate of the Institute of International Relations at the University of Warsaw (specialization: security and strategic studies). He also completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw and at the National Bank of Poland (with an award from the President of the NBP), as well as at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).
From 2019 to 2024, he served as editor-in-chief of the journal *Gospodarka Wodna*. He served on the scientific councils of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management—National Research Institute (IMGW–PIB) and the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation—National Research Institute (IUNG–PIB), as well as on the Water Management Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and other expert bodies, including the Agricultural Market Council of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) and the Supervisory Board of the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (WFOŚiGW) in Zielona Góra. Since 2024, he has served as vice-chair of the Committee on Water Sciences and Water Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). He is an advocate of a modern, project-based approach to public administration management.
