Rainwater management policy on private land in Gdansk – Investor relations

Successful management of a rainwater management system based on retention depends on the cooperation of all stakeholders, not just city offices or water utilities. Systemic implementation of nature-based retention that involves developers, industry, public institutions and individual residents is the most effective model for adaptation policy. It offers long-term and sustainable solutions that evolve with climate change. During the lecture titled “Rainwater management policy on private land in Gdansk – relations with investors,” I will talk about the model adopted in Gdansk, the barriers encountered at the beginning and those that have emerged after several years of implementing the Gdansk Small Retention Policy.
