Risk management plan resulting from the new wastewater directive

EU environmental legislation makes risk assessment mandatory. The new Wastewater Directive imposes the need for risk assessment in the context of rainwater and wastewater pollution and its impact on human health and the environment. It is therefore necessary to debate the details of the analyses for both rainwater and urban wastewater management.

She has been involved in the water and sewerage industry for 20 years. She worked as director of planning and water resources at the National Water Board, and was a member of the board of directors of the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company in the City of Warsaw and an expert at the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. She currently works at the Warsaw University of Technology as an assistant professor in the Department of Water Supply and Sewage Disposal of the Faculty of Building Installations, Hydraulic Engineering and Environmental Engineering. She has served as an expert at the Chamber of Commerce ‘Polish Waterworks’ for many years. She is Poland’s representative in the EurEau federation and also participates in international projects. Holds a PhD in engineering and an MBA.
