Financing investments in water management at the national level, with particular emphasis on renaturalization

The paper will show the approach to investments in water management in Poland, using the example of the State Water Management Company Wody Polskie, which is subordinate to the Minister of Infrastructure. On over a dozen slides we will see, among other things, the investment directions in flood protection and minimizing the effects of drought set in sectoral documents for water management, the financing of investment tasks of the Polish Waters, especially those of a renaturalizing nature, and the possibilities and limitations of implementing these projects at the national level.

Graduate of the Interdepartmental Study of Environmental Protection at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Throughout his professional life associated with water management and flood protection in units of the public finance sector. Since 2011 involved in the work on planning documents in water management at the provincial and national level, as well as in the implementation and programming of the EU multi-annual financial framework. Currently particularly interested in the implementation of the EU financial perspective 2021-2027 and the role that European funds play in shaping the approach to flood protection
