Investment needs of the water and sewer sector in the context of changes in EU law
In recent years, there have been significant changes in EU law in the area of water management. We have a significantly revised directive on the quality of drinking water, which has increased the need for network modernization and leakage reduction. Proposed changes to the wastewater directive indicate the need to expand the retention capacity of cities. In turn, the taxonomy determines which investments will be justified on environmental grounds. Changes in regulatory requirements are increasing the demand for financially and environmentally efficient construction technologies.
