Dymitr Petrow-Ganew

Herrenknecht AG

Graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Lodz, with a specialization in Heavy Machinery. He is a pioneer of trenchless technologies in Eastern Europe. Since 1993, he has been involved in the promotion of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) in Poland. Since 2003, he has worked for the German company Herrenknecht AG as a commercial director responsible for Eastern and Central European markets. He has supplied the Polish market with, among others, TBM heads for the Warsaw Metro and the construction of the tunnel under the Dead Vistula River in Gdansk (with a diameter of 12.5 meters). He has participated in more than 100 conferences on underground infrastructure and trenchless technologies and has authored dozens of publications and papers on microtunneling and TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) shields.
He is a member of the international organizations ISTT, and ITA AITES and a member of the Subcommittee on Underground Construction of the Polish Committee on Geotechnics.
