Stability assessment and safety design for deep excavations in Carpathian flysch conditions
Dr inż. Agnieszka Stopkowicz – expert in geotechnics, geomechanics, mining, tunnel construction, and special construction. Her scientific and research activities focus on the application of advanced computational tools and modern research methods in the analysis and design of geotechnical structures.
Author and co-author of dozens of scientific publications and hundreds of expert reports and technical opinions on the assessment of soil and water conditions, foundation of structures, stability of slopes and embankments, protection of landslide areas, and tunnel design and construction.
Participant and implementer of numerous research and development projects financed by, among others, NCBiR, the European Space Agency, and the Research Fund for Coal & Steel, including projects at the intersection of science and industry.
Her experience is reflected in numerous expert opinions and studies she has prepared, as well as scientific supervision and technical consulting for the largest infrastructure investments carried out in Poland, including projects involving the construction of tunnels, expressways, and engineering structures in complex and difficult ground conditions.
She is actively involved in the professional community as a member of, among others, Subcommittee on Underground Construction of the Polish Geotechnical Committee, International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM) and International Tunneling and Underground Space Association – Association Internationale des Tunnels et de l’Espace Souterrain.
