A graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, where he obtained a master’s degree in civil engineering. He began his professional career at the Warsaw Development Planning Office, and then gained knowledge and experience working at the University of Warsaw, the City Road Authority, and Budimex S.A. From 1994 to 1999, he was Deputy Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw.
He has been working for Warsaw Metro since 2002, initially as deputy director and then as a member of the management board. On the company’s management board, he dealt with issues related to the expansion of the metro and its operation. Together with a team consisting of representatives of the departments of the City of Warsaw and Warsaw Metro Ltd., he prepared and implemented the investment project “Bielany section of the first metro line in Warsaw.” Since January 2006, he has been the president of the company’s management board, responsible for the supervision and implementation of large investment projects, which include: the second metro line and the purchase of 35 new trains.
In 2007, he completed postgraduate MBA studies for engineers. He has participated in numerous specialist professional training courses in the field of construction and environmental protection in terms of EU regulations, public procurement law, and investment processes. Since 2013, he has been lecturing at the Warsaw University of Technology at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
