DISCUSSION PANEL: Progress and innovation in trenchless construction techniques

The following issues will be addressed during the discussion:

  • What is innovation?
  • Reason for using innovative solutions
  • Does innovation go beyond standard solutions?
  • Is innovation worth implementing and who should pay for it?
  • Where is innovation most effective (equipment, technology, action planning, project management)?
  • Does the project budget affect the level of innovation

Graduate of the Faculty of Oil and Gas Drilling at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. He is involved in directional drilling technology and practical applications of drilling fluids in various boreholes. In addition, the author’s interests include feasibility, risk, quality and cost analyses for trenchless projects.
He has worked for oil companies and consultancies in the field of drilling and related techniques. Since 2009, he has worked for Robert Osikowicz Engineering. He has published in the following magazines: Inżynieria Bezwyk tren trenchowa, GDMT geoengineering roads bridges tunnels, Baltic Transport Journal. He is the author of several papers presented at international conferences. He has been conducting training seminars for drilling companies for many years. He is a member of the DCA Drilling Contractors Association, an organisation of drilling companies, design companies and equipment manufacturers and technology suppliers related to the directional drilling industry.
