Workshops – ABC of trenchless technologies
The aim of the workshops is to provide basic information and introduction into the wide field of trenchless construction and technical rehabilitation of pipelines. Participation in the workshop is to give the audience the ability to distinguish particular technologies, knowledge of the purpose and main conditions for their use, as well as knowledge about the basic limitations and requirements related to the preparation of implementation using these technologies (from the technical side).
Part I
Technologies of trenchless pipeline construction – classification, justification of use, areas of application, advantages and disadvantages compared to alternative solutions, basic aspects of design. Technology presentation: e.g. HDD, microtunelling, hybrid solutions, hydraulic jacks.
Part II
Technologies of trenchless technical rehabilitation of pipelines – classification, definitions, justification of application and areas of application, basic aspects of design. Technology presentation: e.g. pipe lining, sliplining, SPR, CIPP, construction chemicals, spot repairs, repairs including robots.
