Piotr Walasik, Ramboll Polska Sp. z o.o.

Piotr Walasik is an enthusiastic primary steel engineer in the Offshore Wind Structures department at Ramboll Poland, based in Gdynia. He holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in marine structures and postgraduate degree in Offshore Wind Energy both attained from the Gdansk University of Technology. Piotr is also a member of Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers with an unlimited license to design in the field of hydrotechnical and maritime structures.

Design tools and trends in the design of offshore wind farms foundations

The presentation will initially focus on an overview of the software used in the design of offshore wind farms with a brief general description of each of them. Next, trends in the design of foundations for offshore wind farms in the Polish exclusive economic zone and globally will be described.
