The problem of sewage networks tightness testing is as old as the sewer system. But the matter is simple. There is a DN EN 1610 standard and several other documents in which the measurement of tightness is very accurately described. The paper will present the basic guidelines for tightness testing, legal acts which regulate the sewage issues. There will be also presented an overview of the equipment needed to conduct the tightness testing and software for analysis and results archiving. The author will discuss the typical mistakes made during construction and drains repair causing the leakiness.
