Systemic implementation of nature-based retention that involves developers, industry, public institutions and individual residents is the most effective model for adaptation policy. It offers long-term and sustainable solutions that evolve with climate change. During the lecture titled &#8220;Rainwater management policy on private land in Gdansk &#8211; relations with investors,&#8221; I will talk about the model adopted in Gdansk, the barriers encountered at the beginning and those that have emerged after several years of implementing the Gdansk Small Retention Policy.<\/p>\n<p><em>President of Gda\u0144skie Wody sp. z o.o., responsible for the administration of the drainage infrastructure of Gda\u0144sk. Previously Technical and Operational Director at Gda\u0144ska Infrastruktura Wodoci\u0105gowo Kanalizacyjna Sp. z o.o. and Project Plenipotentiary for a major investment programme called the Gda\u0144sk Water and Wastewater Project. Coordinator of the Green City Programme within the framework of the Development Strategy of the City of Gda\u0144sk 2030 Plus. Member of the Expert Commission \u2018Climate and Space\u2019 of the Ombudsman. Coordinator of the municipal group within the Union of Polish Metropolises and the Union of Polish Cities initiative \u2018Polish Cities of Ukraine\u2019.
