“Trenchless ENGINEERING” International Conference, Exhibition and Technology Shows, held annually in June, for many has been attracting the attention of people connected with the trenchless technology industry. These are representatives of contractors and designers, equipment manufacturers, independent specialists and research laboratories, representatives of academic circles. The participation of local government units and companies that manage network infrastructure is important, as they can also benefit from the usage of the trenchless technologies.

It is safe to say that the so-called industry treats this event as a place of meeting people and exchanging views: for enriching one’s knowledge and recognizing market trends alongside with their opportunities and threats. Numerous participants representing contractors and the domestic as well as the foreign companies is the undisputed advantage of this event. Such a large group of participants representing various parties can be only found at trade fairs, that is why one of the practical aspects of the conference is that you can meet all of those people at one place. The participation of the academic community is also important – for example, the representatives of the technical universities who have been involved in the trenchless technologies progress. Their participation in the conference serves not only the presentation of new scientific achievements – it is aimed at participating in the discussion and explaining the theoretical issues that bother the participants. This is facilitated by the form of the meeting, in which participants have the opportunity to prioritize topics that are important at a given time – the agenda, including the mini-workshops and discussion panels, are shaped by the organizers in accordance with the weight of the topic. Finally, it is important to mention the friendly atmosphere of the conference, which is the added value to the high substantive level and refined organization. The above observations come from the multiple times when the author of this opinion took part in the conference.
