Recent developments in CIPP sample testing for quality assurance

Amendments to ISO 11296-4, the most important standard for the rehabilitation of gravity sewer pipes using CIPP, have led to a “new” basis for calculating the flexural properties of liner samples. The effects will be shown and explained. In the second section, the topic of “residual styrene”, as a characteristic value for the curing condition of styrene-containing CIPP, is discussed and examined in more detail.

Graduated in chemistry from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. He was a researcher at the Institute for Composite Materials in Kaiserslautern, where he obtained his PhD in 2019. He is currently head of the instrumental and thermal analysis laboratory at SBKS GmbH & Co. KG.
